1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, because the first heaven and the first earth passed(=had passed) away. And the sea is(=was) not anymore.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of (the) heaven from [the] God, having been prepared as a bride having been adorned (for) her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice from the throne1 saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of [the] God (is) with [the] men, and He will tabernacle(=dwell)2 with them, And they will be His people[s], and [the] God Himself will be with them (and be) their God3.”
4 “And He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and the death will be no more, nor grief, nor crying. And no pain will be anymore, for the first things have passed away.”
5 And the One sitting on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He says(=said), “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
6 And He said (to) me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give freely to the one being thirst (water) from the spring of water of life.”
7 “The one overcoming will inherit these things, and I will be to him God(=his God), And he will be to me a son(=my son).”
8 “And to the cowardly and (the) faithless and the ones having been abominated(=the abominable) and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all the liars, their part (will be) in the lake burning (with) fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
9 And one from(=of) the seven angels having the seven bowls being full of the seven last plagues came and talked with me, saying, “(Come) here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
10 And he carried me away in (the) Spirit onto a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy4 city, the holy5 Jerusalem, coming down out of [the] heaven from [the] God,
11 having the glory of God. Its light (was) like a most precious stone, as(=like) a jasper stone being clear as crystal.
12 Having(=The city had) a great and high wall, having twelve gates and twelve angels at the gates, and names having been written on (them), which is(=are) the names of the twelve tribes of sons of Israel.
13 From(=On) rising(=the east)6 (were) three gates, and from(=on) (the) north three gates, and from(=on) (the) south three gates, and from(=on) the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city having(=had) twelve foundations, and on them (were) twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And the one talking with me was having a golden reed measure, so that he might measure the city and its gates and its wall.
16 And the city lies foursquare, and its length (is) as same as the width. And he measured the city (with) the reed, at twelve thousand stadia(=1,500 miles). The length and the width and its height is(=are) equal.
17 And he measured its wall, one hundred forty-four cubits (by) a measure of a man, which is of an angel.
18 And material of its wall (is) jasper and the city (is) pure gold like pure(=clear) glass.
19 The foundations of the wall of the city having been(=are) adorned (with) every precious stone. The first foundation (is) jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates (were) twelve pearls. Each one piece of the gates was from(=of) one pearl. And the street of the city (was) pure gold as(=like) transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple in it, because the Lord [the] God [the] Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb.
23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon so that they may shine (in) it, because the glory of [the] God illuminated it. And its Lamp (is) the Lamb.
24 And the nations will walk through(=by) its light, and the kings of the earth (will) bring their glory into it.
25 And its gates might(=will) never be shut (by) day, because there will be no night there.
26 And they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
27 And nothing common(=unclean) might(=will) enter into it, nor the one making an abomination or a lie, but only the ones having been written in the book of life of the Lamb.
