1 And a reed like a staff was given to me, saying(=and the angel said), “Rise and measure the temple of [the] God and the altar and the ones worshipping in it.”
2 “And leave out the court outside the temple, [outside,] and do not measure it, because it was given to the nations(=Gentiles), and they will trample (over) the holy city (for) forty-two months.”
3 “And I will give (authority to) my two witnesses. And they will prophesy one thousand two hundred (and) sixty days, having been clothed (in) sackcloth.”
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing(# perfect as present) before the Lord of the earth
5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire comes from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone [might] wants to harm them, it is necessary for him to be killed(=he must be killed) thus(=in this manner).
6 These have the authority to shut [the] heaven, so that no rain may rain(=falls) (in) the days of their prophecy, and they have authority over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth in(=with) every plague, as often as they [might] want.
7 And when they might finish(=have finished) their testimony, the beast coming up from the Abyss(=bottomless pit) will make war with(=on) them and [will] overcome them and [will] kill them.
8 And their corpse (will lie) on(=in) the street of the great city, which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
9 And (those) from the peoples, [and] tribes, [and] languages, and nations (will) see their corpse (for) three and a half days. And they do not allow(=will not allow) their corpses to be placed into a tomb.
10 And the ones dwelling on the earth (will) rejoice over them, [and] are glad(=will be glad), and will send gifts (to) one another, because these two prophets tormented the ones dwelling on the earth.
11 And after the three and a half days a spirit(=breath) of life from [the] God entered [in] them, and they stood on their feet. And a great fear fell on the ones watching them.
12 And they heard a great voice from [the] heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to [the] heaven in the(=a) cloud, and their enemies watched them.
13 And in that hour (there) was a great earthquake. And the tenth of the city fell. And seven thousand names of men(=people) were killed in the earthquake. And the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of [the] heaven.
14 And the second woe has passed away. Behold, the third woe is coming soon.
15 And the seventh angel trumpeted(=blew his trumpet). And (there) were great voices in [the] heaven, saying, “The kingdom1 of the world has become (the kingdom) of our Lord and of His Christ, and he will reign unto the ages of the ages(=for ever and ever).”
16 And the twenty-four elders, who sitting on their thrones before [the] God, fell on their faces and worshipped [the] God,
17 saying, “We thank You(=We give thanks to You), Lord [the] God [the] Almighty, the One being and the One was(=the One who is and who was), because You have taken Your great power and have reigned.”
18 “And the nations were angry. And Your wrath has come. And the time (has come) of the dead to be judged; and(=the time) to give the reward to Your slaves the prophets and the saints and the ones fearing Your name, the small and the great; and(=the time) to destroy the ones destroying the earth.”
19 And the temple of [the] God in [the] heaven was opened. And the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings and voices(=rumblings) and thunders(=peals of thunder) and an earthquake and a great hail.
