(=alt.word) · (added word) · [omit]
Therefore, having left the word of the beginning(=elementary doctrine) of Christ, let us move on toward the perfection, not laying down again (the) foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
of (the) doctrine of baptism, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of (the) dead, of eternal judgment.
And we will do this, if [the] God [may] permits.
For (it is) impossible (for) the ones, having been once enlightened, having tasted the heavenly gift and having become sharers of (the) Holy Spirit,
and having tasted (the) goodness of (the) word of God (and the) powers of (the) coming age,
and having fallen away, to renew (them) again to repentance, crucifying(=since they crucify) again for themselves the Son of God, and putting(=put) (him) to an open shame.
For the land, having drunk the rain often coming and bearing a crop useful (for) those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from [the] God,
but (the land) producing thorns and thistles (is) useless and near to a curse, whose end (is) for burning.
And we have been persuaded(=are confident) of [the] better things concerning you, (my) beloved, and having(=the things that belong to) salvation, even though we say in this way.
For [the] God (is) not unjust to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name(=for His sake), having served and serving(=when you have served and serve) the saints.
And we desire each one of you to show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until (the) end,
so that you might not become sluggish, but imitators of the ons inheriting the promises through faith and patience.
For [the] God having promised(=when God made promise) to Abraham, because He was having(=had)1 no one greater (by whom) to swear, He swore by Himself,
saying, “Surely blessing, I will bless you, and multiplying, I will multiply you.”
And so having been patient, he obtained the promise.
For men swear by the greater, and the oath for confirmation (is) to them an end of all dispute,
in which(=wherein) [the] God, desiring to show more abundantly(=clearly) the immutability of His counsel(=purpose) to the heirs of the promise, confirmed (it by) an oath,
so that through two unchangeable matters, in which (it is) impossible (for) God to lie, we having fled to seize the hope setting before (us) may have a strong encouragement(=consolation),
which we have as an anchor of the soul, both safe and firm, and entering(=which enters) into the inner (place) of(=behind) the curtain,
where Jesus, a forerunner, entered for us, having become a high priest unto the age(=forever) according to the order of Melchizedek.
