For every high priest being taken from among men is appointed for men (in) the things pertaining to [the] God, so that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins,

being able to deal gently (with) the ones being ignorant and going astray, since he himself also is subject to weakness,

because of this he ought to offer (sacrifices) for his own sins, as well as for the people.

And no one takes the honor (upon) himself, but (the one) being called by [the] God, just as Aaron (was).

So [the] Christ also did not glorify himself to become a high priest, but the One having said (to) him, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you.”

As He also says in another (place), “You (are) a priest unto the age(=forever) according to the order of Melchizedek,” 7 who, in the days of his flesh, having offered both prayers and supplications, with strong(=loud) cry and tears to the One being able to save him from death, and having been heard from(=because of) the(=his) fear of God,

although being(=he was) a Son, he learned [the] obedience from what he suffered,

and having been perfected, he became (the) source of eternal salvation to all the ones obeying him,

having been designated by [the] God a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek,

of whom there are to us much word(=many things) to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull (in) the hearings(=understanding).

For you, having to be teachers because of the time(=by this time), have need someone to teach you again the elements of the beginning(=basic principles) of God’s words. And you have become (the ones) having need of milk, (and) not of solid food.

For everyone partaking of(=living on) milk (is) without experience of(=unskilled in) the word of righteousness, for he is an infant,

But [the] solid food is of(=for) the mature, (for) the ones having the(=their) faculties [having been] trained through(=by) the practice for distinction of(=to distinguish) both good and evil.
