(=alt.word) · (added word) · [omit]
Therefore, holy brothers, sharers of heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Jesus,
being(=who was) faithful to the One having appointed him, as Moses also (was faithful) in all His(=God’s) house.
For this one has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the one having built it(=a house) has more honor than the house.
For every house is built by someone, but the One having built all things (is) God.
And, on the one hand, Moses (was) faithful in all His(=God’s) house as a servant, for the testimony being spoken in the future(=of what would be spoken later)1,
on the other, Christ (is faithful) as a son over His(=God’s) house; whose house are we, if we [might] hold fast the confidence and the pride of the hope.
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you [might] hear his voice,”
“do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion in the day of the temptation in the wilderness,”
“where your fathers tested me, proved me and saw my works forty years.”
“Therefore I was angry with this generation and I said, ‘They always go astray (in their) heart. And they have not known my ways.’”
“So I swore in my wrath, ‘if they will enter into my rest(=They shall never enter my rest).’”
Beware, brothers, lest there [shall] be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in to fall away(=that turns away) from (the) living God,
but exhort yourselves(=one another) every day, as long as it is called [the] “Today,” so that any of you might(=may) not be hardened (by) deceitfulness of sin.
For we have become sharers of Christ, if we [might] hold the beginning of the confidence firm to (the) end.
In the to be said(=When it is said), “Today, if you [might] hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
For who, having heard, rebelled? [But] (Were they) not all the ones having come out of Egypt by Moses?
And with whom was He angry (for) forty years? (Was it) not (with) the ones having sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?
And to whom did He swear not to enter into His rest if not the ones having disobeyed?
And we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.
