(=alt.word)  ·  (added word)  ·  [omit]

Therefore, it is necessary for us to pay greater attention to the things having been heard(=what we have heard), so that we should not(=do not) drift away.

For if the word having been spoken through angels was valid, and every transgression and disobedience received just(=deserved) retribution,

how shall we escape, having ignored(=if we ignore)1 so great a salvation? which(=The salvation), having received (its) origin(=having begun at first) to be spoken by the Lord, was confirmed to us by the ones having heard (him),

God’s bearing witness(=God testified, #Genitive Absolute) by signs, [and] wonders and various miracles, and distributions(=gifts) of (the) Holy Spirit according to His will.

For (it is) not to angels that He has subjected the coming world, about which we are speaking.

But someone testified somewhere, saying, “What is man that you are mindful of him? or (the) Son of Man that you visit(=care for) him?”

“You made him a little lower than angels; you crowned him (with) glory and honor.”

“You subjected all things under his feet.” For in that he left nothing (that is) not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things having been subjected(=subject) to him.

But we see [the] Jesus having been made a little lower than angels (and) having been crowned (with) glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by (the) grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

For it was fitting for him, for whom all things (exist) and through whom all things (exist), (in) having brought many sons to glory, to make the founder(=author) of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

For both the sanctifying One and the ones being sanctified (are) all from(=of) one, for which reason he is not ashamed to call them brothers,

saying, “I will declare your name to my brothers, I will praise you in (the) midst of (the) church(=congregation).”

and again, “I will be having been confident(=put my trust) on(=in) him.” and again, “Behold, (Here am) I and the children whom [the] God gave me.”

Therefore since the children have shared of(=in) blood and flesh, he himself also likewise partook of the same things, so that through the(=his) death he might destroy the one having the power of death, that is, the devil,

and might free these ones, as many as(=who) by fear of death were through all the to live(=all their lives) subject to bondage.

For of course(=surely) he takes hold not of angels, but he takes hold of (the) seed of Abraham.

Therefore he ought to be made like the(=his) brothers in all things, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest (in) the things in regard to [the] God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

For in that he himself has suffered, having been tempted, he is able to help the ones being tempted.
