And know this, that in (the) last days difficult times will come,

for [the] men will be self-lovers, money-lovers, boasters, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

inhuman, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

traitors, reckless, having been conceited(=haughty), pleasure-lovers rather than God-lovers,

having a form of godliness but having denied its power. And turn away from these.

For among these are the ones creeping into [the] houses and capturing silly women (who) having been heaped (with) sins (and) being led (by) various lusts,

always learning and never being able to come to a knowledge of (the) truth.

And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these (people) oppose the truth: (they are) men having been corrupted (in) mind and disapproved concerning the faith.

But they will not proceed more(=further), for their folly will be evident to all, as the (folly) of them(=the two men) also was.

But you have closely followed my teaching, the(=my) manner of life, the(=my) purpose, the(=my) faith, the(=my) patience, the(=my) love, the(=my) endurance,

the(=my) persecutions, the(=my) sufferings which happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; such persecutions I have endured, and the Lord delivered me from all (of them).

And indeed, all the ones desiring to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

But evil men and impostors will advance to [the] worse, deceiving and being deceived.

But you, continue in what you have learned and been convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned,

and that from infant you have known (the) Holy Scriptures being able to make you wise for salvation through faith (which is) in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture (is) God-inspired and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for discipline (which is) in righteousness,

so that the man of God may be perfect, having been equipped for every good work.
