(=alt.word) · (added word) · [omit]
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children,
and walk in love, as [the] Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a smell of fragrance(=sweet odor)1.
But fornication and all uncleanness or greediness; let it not be named among you, as is fitting (for) saints,
and filthiness and foolish talk or coarse joke, which are not proper, but rather thanksgiving.
For be knowing(=sure) (of) this, that not every(=no) fornicator or unclean (person) or greedy (person) - who is an idolater – has (any) inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no one deceive you (with) empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience.
Therefore do not be partakers (with) them,
for you were once darkness, but now (you are) light in (the) Lord. Walk as children of light,
(for the fruit of the light (is) in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
examining(=finding out) what is pleasing to the Lord,
and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose (them),
for it is shameful even to speak of the things being done by them in secret.
But the all things being exposed by the light is(=are) manifested(=visible), for everything being manifested is light.
Therefore he says, “Wake up, the sleeping one, and rise from the dead, and [the] Christ will shine on you.”
See therefore(=then) carefully how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord (is).
And do not get drunk (with) wine, in which is debauchery, but be filled in(=with) (the) Spirit,
speaking to one another (in) psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and psalming(=making melody) (in) your heart to the Lord,
giving thanks always to God [and] (the) Father for all things in (the) name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
being submitted(=subject) to one another in (the) fear of Christ.
[The] Wives, (subject) to (your) own husbands as to the Lord,
because a husband is (the) head of the wife as also [the] Christ (is) the head of the church, (who) himself (is the) Savoir of the body.
But as the church is subject to [the] Christ, so the wives also (should be subject) to the(=their) husbands in everything.
[The] Husbands, love the(=your) wives, as [the] Christ also loved the church and gave himself for her,
that he might sanctify her, having cleansed (by) the washing of water in(=through) word,
that he might present the church to himself (as a) glorious (church), not having spot or wrinkle or any of such things, but that she may be holy and without blemish.
So the husbands ought to love the wives of themselves(=their own wives) as the bodies of themselves(=their own bodies). The one loving the wife of himself(=his own wife) loves himself.
For no one ever hated the flesh of himself(=his own flesh), but feeds and cherishes it, as [the] Christ also (does) the church,
because we are members of his body.
“For this reason a man will leave the(=his) father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will be(=become) [for] one flesh.
This is a great mystery, but I say to(=am speaking about) Christ and the church.
Nevertheless let each of you, one by one, so love the wife of himself(=his own wife) as himself, and (let) the wife (see) that she may fear(=respect) the(=her) husband.
