(=alt.word) · (added word) · [omit]
And after these things [the] Jesus was walking in [the] Galilee; [for] he was not wishing to walk in [the] Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.
And the feast of the Jews, the (feast of) Tabernacles, was near.
So his brothers said (to) him, “Leave here and go into [the] Judea, so that your disciples also will see your works that you do.”
“For no one does anything in secret and he himself seeks to be in (the) open(=openly). If you do these things, show yourself to the world.”
For his brothers were not believing in him.
So [the] Jesus says (to) them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.”
“The world is not able to hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works is(=are) evil.”
“You go into the feast. I am not going up to this feast because my time has not been yet fulfilled.”
And having said these things, he remained in [the] Galilee.
And when his brothers went up to the feast, then he also went up, not openly but as (it were) in secret.
So the Jews were seeking him at the feast and were saying, “Where is that (man)?”
And there was much grumbling(=whispering) about him in the crowds. Some were saying, “[that] He is a good (man).” But others were saying, “No, but he deceives the crowd.”
However, no one was speaking about him openly because of the fear of the Jews.
And now the feast’s being in the middle(=as the feast was already in the middle)1, Jesus went up into the temple and was teaching.
So the Jews were marveling, saying, “How does this (man) know letters, having not learned?”
So Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not mine but of the (One) having sent me.”
“If anyone [may] wants to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from [the] God or (whether) I am speaking from myself(=on my own).”
“The one speaking from himself(=on his own) seeks his own glory. But the one seeking the glory of the One having sent him [this one] is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.”
“Did not Moses give you the law? And none of you keeps the law. Why do you seek to kill me?”
The crowd answered, “You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill you?”
Jesus answered and said (to) them, “I did one work and you all marvel.”
“Therefore Moses has given you the circumcision, {not that it is from [the] Moses but from the fathers}, and in(=on) (the) Sabbath you circumcise a man.”
“If a man receives circumcision in(=on) (the) Sabbath, so that the law of Moses might(=may) not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a whole man(=man’s whole body) well in(=on) (the) Sabbath?”
“Do not judge according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
So some of the Jerusalemites(=people of Jerusalem) were saying, “Is not this (man) whom they are seeking to kill?”
“And behold, he speaks openly. And they say nothing to him. Perhaps(=Can it be that) the rulers indeed knew(=know) that this is the Christ?”
“But we know where this (man) is(=comes) from. And when the Christ comes, no one knows(=will know) where he is(=comes) from.”
So [the] Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You know me and you know where I am(=come) from. And I have not come from myself(=on my own), but the One having sent me is true, whom you do not know.”
“I know Him, because I am from Him and that One sent me.”
So they were seeking to seize him, and no one laid the(=a) hand on him, because his time has not yet come.
And many of the crowd believed in him, and they were saying, “When Christ [might] comes, [not(# expect the answer ‘No’) will he do more signs (than) this man has done?”
The Pharisees heard the crowd’s whispering these things about him, and the high priests and the Pharisees sent temple guards so that they might(=may) seize him.
So [the] Jesus said, “I am with you (for) only a short time, and I go to the One having sent me.”
“You will seek me and you will not find. And where I am, you are able to come.”
So the Jews said (to) themselves(=one another), “Where is this (man) about to go that we will not find him? Is [not(# expecting the answer ‘No’)] he about to go into the diaspora of the Greeks and teach the Greeks?”
“What is this word that he said, ‘You will seek me and you will not find. And where I am, you cannot [to] come?’”
And in(=on) the last great day of the feast, [the] Jesus had stood(=was standing) and cried out, saying, “If anyone [may] thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
“The one believing in me, as the Scripture said, out of his belly(=Out of within him) will flow rivers of living water.”
And he said this about the Spirit, which the ones having believed in him were [about] to receive, for (the) Spirit was not yet, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
So (some) of the crowd, having heard these words, were saying, “[that] This (man) is truly the prophet.”
Others were saying, “This (man) is the Christ.” And (some) were saying, “Then does [not(# expecting the answer ‘No’)] the Christ come from [the] Galilee?”
“Has not the Scripture say that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”
So there was a division in(=among) the crowd because of him.
And some of them wanted to seize him, but no one laid the hands on him.
So the temple guards came to the high priests and Pharisees, and those said (to) them, “Why did you not bring him?”
The temple guards answered, “No man ever spoke so as this man speaks(=like this man)!”
So the Pharisees answered them, “Have [not(# expecting the answer ‘No’)] you also been deceived?”
“Have [not(# expecting the answer ‘No’)] anyone of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed in him?”
“But this crowd not knowing the law are accursed!”
Nicodemus having come to him before (and) being one of them says (to) them,
“Does [not(# expecting the answer ‘No’)] our law judge the man unless it [might] hears first from him and [might] knows(=without first hearing him and learning) what he does?”
They answered and said (to) him, “Are [not(# expecting the answer ‘No’)] you also from [the] Galilee? Search and see that a prophet is not raised out of [the] Galilee.”
And each (of them) went into his house.
