Jesus answered and said (to) him, “Truly, truly, I say (to) you, unless anyone might be born from above(=again), he is not able to see the kingdom of God.”
[The] Nicodemus says (to) him, “How is a man able to be born, being(=when he is) old? [Not(# expecting the answer “No”)] Is he able to enter a second time into his mother’s womb and to be born?”

“And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world and the men loved the darkness rather than the light, because their works were evil.”
“For everyone practicing the bad hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works might be exposed.”

Therefore(=Now) there was a controversy from(=of) John’s disciples with a Jew about purification.
And they came to [the] John and said (to) him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified – behold, this man baptizes and all men are going to him.”
John answered and said, “A man cannot [to] receive anything unless it may be having been given(=has been given) to him from [the] heaven.”
“Your yourselves testify to me that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but [that] ‘I am having been sent(=have been sent)3 before that One.’”
