1 And (on) the third day there was a wedding at Cana of Galilee. And the mother of Jesus was there.
2 And both Jesus and his disciples was invited to the wedding.
3 And wine’s having been lack(=when the wine gave out)1, the mother of Jesus says (to) him, “They have no wine.”
4 And [the] Jesus says (to) her, “Women, what (concern is that) to me and to you? My time has not yet come.”
5 His mother says (to) the servants, “Do whatever he [may] says (to) you.”
6 And there were six stone jars standing according to the purification of the Jews, [and] each holding two or three Metretes(=twenty or thirty gallons).
7 [The] Jesus says (to) them, “Fill the jars of(=with) water.” And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And he says (to) them, “Now draw (some out) and take (it) to the head of the banquet.” And they took (it).
9 And when the head of the banquet tasted the water having become wine, [and] he was not knowing(# pluperfect for imperfect) where it is(=came) from, but the servants having drawn the water knew. The head of the banquet calls the bridegroom.
10 And he says (to) him, “Every man sets out the good wine first, and when they might drink(=have drunk), (then) the inferior (wine). You have kept the good wine until now.”
11 [The] Jesus did this, beginning(=the first) of the(=his) signs, in Cana of Galilee and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.
12 After this he, his mother, (his) brothers, and his disciples went down to Capernaum. And there they stayed not many days(=for a few days).
13 And The Passover of the Jews was near. And [the] Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And he found in the temple the ones selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the coin dealers sitting,
15 And having made a whip [out] of cords, he drove all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned the tables.
16 And he said (to) the ones selling the doves, “Take these things out of here! Do not make my Father’s house a house of trade!”
17 His disciples remembered that it is having been written(=was written)2, “[The] Zeal of your house will consume me.”
18 Therefore the Jews answered and said (to) him, “What sign (can) you show us, because you do these things?”
19 Jesus answered and said (to) them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20 Therefore the Jews said, “(For) forty-six years this temple was built, and you will raise it in three days?”
21 And that one was saying(=meant to say)3 about the temple of his body.
22 Therefore, when he was raised from (the) dead, his disciples remembered that he was saying(=had said) this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that [the] Jesus said.
23 And when he was in [the] Jerusalem at the Passover [in the] feast, many believed in his name, seeing his signs that he was doing.
24 And Jesus was not trusting himself to them because of the him to know(=because he knew) all (men),
25 and because he had no need that anyone should testify about the man; for he was knowing what was in the man.
