1 Now the feast of Unleavened Bread being called the Passover was drawing near.
2 And the high priests and the scribes were seeking how they might kill him, for they were fearing the people.
3 And Satan entered [into] Judas being called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
4 And having gone away, he conferred to(=with) the high priests and captains (of the temple guard), how he might betray him to them.
5 And they were glad, and they agreed to give him money.
6 And he consented, and he was seeking opportunity [of] to deliver him to them without(=in the absence of) a(=the) crowd.
7 And the day of the Unleavened Bread came, on which the Passover (lamb) ought to be killed.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, “Having gone, prepare the Passover for us, that we might(=may) eat (it).”
9 And they said (to) him, “Where do you want we might prepare(=us to prepare for it)?”
10 And he said (to) them, “Behold, your having entered(=as you have entered)1 [into] the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house [into] which he enter.”
11 “And you shall say(=tell)2 to the owner of the house, ‘The teacher says (to) you, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’”
12 “And that man will show you a large upper room having been furnished. Prepare there.”
13 And having gone, they found as he had said (to) them, and they prepared the Passover.
14 And when the hour came, he reclined(=sat at table), and the apostles (sat) with him.
15 And he said (to) them, “(With) desire(=eagerly), I have desired to eat this Passover with you before me to suffer(=before I suffer).”
16 “For I say (to) you that I may(=will) never eat it anymore3 until it [might] is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
17 And having taken a cup, having given thanks, he said, “Take this and divide (it) among yourselves.”
18 “For I say (to) you, from [the] now I might(=will) never drink from(=of) the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God [might] comes.”
19 And having taken bread, having given thanks, he broke (it) and gave (it) to them, saying, “This is my body being given for you. Do this for my memorial(=in remembrance of me).”
20 And likewise (having taken) the cup after [the] to dine(=after the supper), saying, “This cup (is) the new covenant in my blood, [the] being shed for you.”
21 “But behold, the hand of the one betraying me (is) with me on the table.”
22 “For the Son of Man indeed goes according to the thing having been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed.”
23 And they began to question among themselves, which of them then would be(# potential optative) the one being about to do this.
24 And there was also a dispute in(=among) them, [the] which of them seems(=was considered) to be greatest(# comparative for superlative).
25 And he said (to) them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord (it) over them, and the ones having authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’”
26 “And not so (with) you, but let the greatest(# comparative for superlative) in(=among) you become as the youngest(# comparative for superlative), and the ruling(=leading) one as the serving one.”
27 “For who is greater, the reclining one(=the one who sits at table) or the serving one? (Is it) not the reclining one? But I am in [the] midst of you as the serving one.”
28 “But you are the ones having remained throughout with me in my trial.”
29 “And I assign (to) you (a kingdom) as my Father assigned to me a kingdom,”
30 “that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and [will] sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
31 “Simon, Simon, behold, [the] Satan has demanded [the] to sift you as [the] wheat.”
32 “And I have prayed for you that your faith might(=may) not fail. And having turned, strengthen your brothers.”
33 And he said (to) him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death.”
34 And he said, “I say (to) you, Peter, a rooster will not crows today until you will deny three times to know me(=that you know me).”
35 And he said (to) them, “When I sent you without purse, bag, or sandals, [not(# expecting answer ‘No’)] did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.”
36 And he said (to) them, “But now let the one having a purse take (it), and likewise a bag, and let the one not having (a sword) sell his garment and [let him] buy a sword.”
37 “For I say (to) you that this thing having been written ought to be fulfilled in me, ‘[the] He was reckoned with lawless men.’ For the thing (which is written) about me has (its) fulfillment.”
38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here (are) two swords.” And he said (to) them, “It is enough.”
39 And having gone out, he went to the Mount of Olives according to the(=his) custom. And the disciples also followed him.
40 And having come upon(=to) the place, he said (to) them, “Pray not to enter into temptation.”
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and having placed the knees(=knelt down and) he was praying,
42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done.”
43 And an angel appeared to him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in agony, more earnestly he was praying. And his sweat was like drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, he found them sleeping from the sorrow.
46 And he said (to) them, “Why are you sleeping? Having risen up,(=Get up and) pray that you might(=may) not enter into temptation.”
47 His speaking(=While he was speaking)4 yet, behold, a crowd; [and] the one being called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. And he drew near to Jesus to kiss him.
48 And Jesus said (to) him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 And having seen the thing being about to happen(=what was going to happen)5, the ones around him said, “Lord, [if] shall we strike with (the) sword?”
50 And [certain] one of them struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear.
51 And having answered, [the] Jesus said, “Allow even this!” And having touched the ear, he healed him.
52 And Jesus said (to) high priests and captains of the temple and elders having(=who had) come to him, “As against a robber, have you come out with swords and clubs?”
53 “My being(=When I was)6 with you in the temple after day(=every day), you did not lay [the] hands on me. But this is your hour and the authority of the darkness.”
54 And having arrested him, they were leading and [were] bring into the high priest’s house. And [the] Peter was following at a distance.
55 And (their) having kindled(=when they had kindled)7 a fire in the middle of the courtyard, and (their) having sit down together(=when they had sat down together)8, [the] Peter sat down among them.
56 And having seen him sitting in the firelight and having gazed at him, a certain maid said, “This man also was with him.”
57 But he denied (it), saying, “Woman, I don’t know(# perfect as present) him.”
58 And after a little while, another man, having seen him, was saying, “You also are (one) of them.” But [the] Peter was saying, “Man, I am not.”
59 And about one hour’s having intervened(=after about an hour had passed)9, a certain other(=another) man insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, [and] for he is a Galilean.”
60 But [the] Peter said, “Man, I don’t know(# perfect as present) what you are saying.” And immediately his speaking(=while he was speaking)10 yet, a rooster crowed.
61 And having turned, the Lord looked straight at [the] Peter. And [the] Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he (had) said (to) him, “[that] Before a rooster to crow(=Before the rooster crows)11 today, you might(=will) deny me three times.”
62 And having gone outside, he wept bitterly.
63 And the men holding him were mocking him, beating.
64 And having blindfolded him, they were asking, saying, “Prophesy, who is the one striking you?”
65 And blaspheming, they were saying many other (words) against him.
66 And when day came, the council of the elders of the people, both high priests and scribes, gathered together and led him away to their council,
67 saying, “If you are the Christ, tell us.” And he said (to) them, “If I [might] tell you, you might(=will) not believe.”
68 “And if I [might] ask, you might(=will) not answer.”
69 “But from [the] now on, the Son of Man will be being seated(=will be seated)12 at (the) right (hand) of the power of God.”
70 And they all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” And he was saying to them, “You say that I am.”
71 And they said, “Why do we have need(=need) still(=any more) testimony? For we ourselves have heard (it) from his own mouth.”
