1 And having looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury.
2 And he saw a certain poor widow putting there two lepton(=copper coins).
3 And he said, “Truly I say (to) you that this poor widow has put in more (than) all (the others).”
4 “For all these have put in the gifts out of the thing abounding to them, but this (woman) out of her poverty has put in all the living that she was having(=had)”
5 And someone’s speaking(=as someone spoke)1 about(=of) the temple, how it has been adorned (with) beautiful stones and donations, he said,
6 “(As for) these things which you look at, the days will come in which(=when) not one stone will be left upon (another) stone, that will not be thrown down.”
7 And they asked him, saying, “Teacher, then(=if so) when will these things be? And what (will be) the sign when these things are about to take place?”
8 And he said, “Watch out that you [might] are not misled(=deceived), for many will come on(=in) my name, saying, ‘I am (he),’ and ‘The time has come near.’ Do not go after them!”
9 “And when you hear (of) wars and commotions, do not be terrified, for these things ought to happen first, but the end (will) not (come) immediately.”
10 Then he was saying to them, “Nation will be raised(=will rise) against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.”
11 “And there will be great earthquakes, and throughout places(=in various places) famines and pestilences; there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.”
12 “And before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and [will] persecute (you), delivering (you) up to the synagogues and prisons, being brought(=and you will be brought) before kings and governors for my name’s sake.”
13 “It will turn out for you for(=to bear) testimony.”
14 “Therefore make up [in] your mind, not to meditate beforehand to defend(=how you will defend) yourselves.”
15 “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all the ones opposing you will not be able to resist or contradict.”
16 “And you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends. And they will put (some) from(=of) you to death.”
17 “And you will be [being] hated(# periphrastic future) by all because of my name.”
18 “But not a hair from(=of) your head will perish.”
19 “In(=By) your endurance you will gain your souls(=lives).”
20 “But when you [might] see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.”
21 “Then let the ones in [the] Judea flee to the mountains, and let the ones in the midst of her depart, and let the ones in the countries not enter [into] her.”
22 “For these are days of punishment, all the things having been written to be fulfilled(# infinitive of consequence)(=so that all things which were written may be fulfilled).”
23 “Woe to the (women) having (a child) in womb and to the ones nursing (babies) in those days, for there will be a great distress on the land and wrath to this people.”
24 “And they will fall by the edge of the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all nations, and Jerusalem will be [being] trampled(# periphrastic future) by Gentiles, until (the) times of (the) Gentiles might be fulfilled.”
25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth (will be) anguish of nations in perplexity of(=at) (the) roaring of (the) sea and the wave.”
26 “Men’s fainting(=Men will faint)2 from fear and expectation of the things coming (on) the (earth) being inhabited, for the powers of the heaven[s] will be shaken”
27 “And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”
28 “These things’ beginning(=When these things begin)3 to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
29 And he said a parable to them, “Look at the fig tree and all the trees,”
30 “When they [might] shoot out already, seeing from(=for) yourselves(=you see for yourselves and) you know that the summer is near already.”
31 “So also, when you [might] see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.”
32 “Truly I say (to) you, ‘[that] This generation might(=will) never pass away until all things [might] happen.’”
33 “[The] Heaven and [the] earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”
34 “And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts [might] be weighed down in(=with) dissipation, [and] drunkenness and anxieties of life. And that day [might] come upon you suddenly (like a trap).”
35 “[like a trap], for it will come upon all the ones living on (the) face of the whole earth.”
36 “But watch in(=at) all time, praying that you might(=may) be able to escape all these things being about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
37 And the days(=in the daytime) he was teaching in the temple, and the nights(=at night), going out, he lodged to(=on) the mount being called (the Mount) of Olives.
38 And early in the morning all the people were coming to him in the temple to hear him.
