1 And he said (to) his disciples, “It is impossible [the] (for) the causes of stumbling not to come, but woe (to that person) through whom they come!”

2 “It would be better for him if a millstone is hung(=were hung)1 round his neck and he has been thrown(=were thrown)2 into the sea, than that he should offend(=cause to stumble) one of these little ones.”

3 “Watch yourselves; if your brother [might] sins, rebuke him, and if he [might] repent, forgive him.”

4 “And if he [might] sins against you seven times of(=in)3 the day, and seven times he [might] turns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

5 And the apostles said (to) the Lord, “Increase faith for us!”

6 And the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you could say(# apodosis of an unreal condition) this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey(# apodosis of an unreal condition) you.”

7 “And which of you having a slave ploughing or herding (sheep) will say to him, who having come from the field, ‘Having come(=Come) immediately (and) recline(=sit down to eat)’?”

8 “But will he not say to him, ‘Prepare something that I will dine(=for my supper), and having girded yourself(=gird yourself and) serve me until I eat and drink. And after these things, you will(=may) eat and drink’?”

9 “Does he [not, # expecting answer ‘No’] have(=give) thank to the slave because he did the things having been commanded?”

10 “So you also, when you might do(=have done) all things having been commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves. We have (only) done what we ought to do.’”

11 And it happened, in the to go(=as he went) to Jerusalem, [and] (that) he was passing through (the) midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 And his entering(=as he entered)4 [into] a certain village, ten lepers [men] met (him), who stood at a distance.

13 And they lifted voice, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

14 And having seen, he said (to) them, “Having gone,(=Go and) show yourselves to the priests.” And it happened, in the them to go(=as they went), (that) they were cleansed.

15 But one of them, having seen that he was cured, came back, glorifying [the] God with a great voice.

16 And he fell on (his) face at his feet, giving him thanks. And he was Samaritan.

17 And having answered, [the] Jesus said, “Were not ten cleansed? But where (are) the nine?”

18 “Were there not any found, having returned(=who returned) to give glory to [the] God except this foreigner?”

19 And he said (to) him, “Having risen,(=Rise and) go (your way). Your faith has saved you(=has made you well).”

20 And having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God comes(=would come), he answered and said (to) them, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation,”

21 “nor will they say, ‘Behold, here!’ or ‘there!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

22 And he said (to) the disciples, “(The) days will come, when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see (it).”

23 “And they will say (to) you, ‘Behold, there!’ or ‘behold, here!’ Do not go, do not follow.”

24 “For as the lightning flashing out of the (one part) under [the] heaven shines to the (other part) under heaven, so the Son of Man will be in his day.”

25 “But first it is necessary (for) him to suffer many things and to be rejected from this generation.”

26 “And as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.”

27 “They were eating, drinking, marrying, being given in marriage until the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and it destroyed them all.”

28 “Likewise as it was in the days of Lot, they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building.”

29 “But (on) the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulphur rained from heaven and destroyed them all.”

30According to the same things(=So) will it be (on) the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

31 “In(=On) that day, he who will be(=is) on the roof and his belongings (are) in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise, the one (who is) in (the) field, let him not turn back for the things behind.”

32 “Remember Lot’s wife!”

33 “Whoever [might] tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever [will] loses (his life) will preserve it.”

34 “I say (to) you, on that night there will be two people on one bed; the one will be taken and the other will be left.”

35 “There will be two (women) grinding together; the one will be taken and the other will be left.”

36 “There will be two men in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.” 5

37 And having answered, they say to him, “Where, Lord?” And he said (to) them, “Where the body (is), there the eagles also will be gathered together.”
