And having answered, [the] Jesus said again in parables to them, saying,

“The kingdom of the heavens was(=is) like a man, a king, who made a wedding feasts (for) his son.”

“And he sent his slaves to call the ones having been called(=invited) to the wedding feasts. But they were willing not to come.”

“Again he sent other slaves, saying, ‘Tell the ones having been called(=invited), Behold, I have prepared my breakfast(=noon meal). My oxen and fatted cattle having(=have) been killed, and all thing (are) ready. Come to the wedding feasts.’”

“But they, having been careless, went off, one to the(=his) own field, and another to his business.”

“And the rest, having seized his slaves, mistreated and killed.”

“And the king was angry, and having sent his armies, he destroyed those murderers and burned their city.”

“Then he says (to) his slaves, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but the ones having been called(=invited) were not worthy.’”

“Therefore go onto the crossroads of the streets, and call(=invite) to the wedding feasts as many as you might find”

“And those slaves, having gone out into the streets, gathered all whom they found, both bad (ones) and good (ones), and the wedding hall was filled of(=with) the reclining(=sitting) ones.”

“And having come in to look at the reclining(=sitting) ones, the king saw there a man having not worn wedding garment to himself(#middle voice).”

“And he says (to) him, ‘Friend, how did you come here not having wedding garment?’ And he was silenced(=speechless).”

“Then the king said (to) the servants, ‘Having tied his feet and hands, throw out him into the outer darkness. There will be [the] weeping and [the] gnashing of teeth.”

“For many are called(=invited), but few (are) chosen”

Then having gone, the Pharisees took counsel how they might trap him in (his) word.

And they send to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and you teach the way of God in truth. And it is not a care (to) you about anyone, for you do not look [to] the face(=person) of men.”

“Then, tell us, what it seems to you? Is it lawful to pay tax to Caesar or not?’

And [the] Jesus, having known their wickedness, said, “Why do you test me, (you) hypocrites?” 19 ”Show me the money of(=for) the tax.” And they brought him a denarius.

And he says (to) them, “Whose image and inscription (is) this?”

They say to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he says to them, Give back to Caesar the things of Caesar(=the things that are Caesar’s) and to God the things of God(=the things that are God’s).”

And having heard, they marveled. And having left him, they went away.

On that day, Sadducees came to him, saying not to be resurrection(=who say that there is no resurrection). And they asked him.

saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If someone might die, having no children, his brother must marry his wife and must raise up offspring for his brother.”

“And there were seven brothers among us. And the first one, having married, ended(=died). And having no offspring, he left his wife to his brother.”

“Likewise the second also, and the third, up to (all) the seventh.”

“And later(=last) of all, the woman died.”

“In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For all (of them) had her.”

And having answered, [the] Jesus said (to) them, “You are wrong, not knowing(#perfect for present) the Scriptures nor the power of God.”

“For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in [the] heaven.”

“But about the resurrection of the dead, have you not read the thing said (to) you by [the] God, saying,”

“‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ He is not the God of the dead but of the living ones.”

And having heard, the crowds were astonished at his teaching.

And the Pharisees, having heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered together.

And one of them, a lawyer, asked, testing him.

“Teacher, which (is the) great commandment in the law?”

And he was saying to him, “You shall love (the) Lord your God in(=with) all your heart and in(=with) all your soul and in(=with) all your mind.”

“This is the great and first commandment.”

“The second (is) like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

“In(=On) these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.”

And the Pharisees’ having been gathered(=when the Pharisees were gathered)1, [the] Jesus asked them.

saying, “What does it seem to you(=What do you think) about Christ? Whose son is he?” They say to him, “The (son) of David.”

He says (to) them, “How then does David in (the) spirit call Him Lord, saying,”

(The) Lord said (to) my Lord, ‘Sit at my right (hand) until I might put your enemies under your feet?’”

“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

And no one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day did anyone dare to ask him any more (questions).
