And when they drew near [to] Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples.
Saying to them, “Go to the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey having been tied and a colt with her. Having loosened, bring to me.”
“And if anyone might say (to) you anything, you shall say, ‘[that] the Lord has need (of) them.’ And immediately he will send them.”
And this has happened in order that the thing having been said through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
“Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king comes to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, (the) foal of a donkey.”
And having gone, the disciples [and] having(=had) done as [the] Jesus directed them.
And they brought the donkey and the colt, and put on them the(=their) garments. And he set on them.
And the very large crowd spreaded their garments on the road, and others were cutting branches from the trees and were spreading on the road.
And the crowds going before him and the ones following (him) were crying out, saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David, Blessed is the one coming in (the) name of (the) Lord. Hosanna in the highest (places).”
And his having gone(=as he went)1 into Jerusalem, all the city was shaken, saying, “Who is this?”
And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, the one from Nazareth of Galilee.”
And Jesus went into the temple and drove out all the ones selling and buying in the temple. And he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of the ones selling the doves.
And he says (to) them, “It has been written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer.’ but you make it a den of robbers.”
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.
And the high priests and the scribes, having seen the wonderful things that he did and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David,” were indignant.
And they said (to) him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” And [the] Jesus says (to) them, “Yes, have you never read, ‘[that] Out of the mouth of infants and sucklings you have prepared(=completed) praise for yourself’?”
And having left them, he went out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.
And early returning to the city, he was hungry.
And having seen one fig tree by the road he went to it, and found nothing on it except leaves only, and he says (to) it, “Might(=May) fruit never be from you for ever.” And the fig tree withered at once.
And having seen, the disciples marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither at once?”
And having answered, [the] Jesus said (to) them, “Truly I say (to) you, If you may have faith and might not doubt, you will not only do (what was done) to the fig tree but also, (if) you might say to this mountain, ‘Be taken and be thrown into the sea,’ it will be (done).”
“And all things whatever you might ask in [the] prayer, believing, you will receive.”
And his having come(=when he came)2 into the temple, the high priests and the elders of the people came to him (who is) teaching, saying, “By what authority are you doing these things? And who gave you this authority?”
And having answered, [the] Jesus said (to) them, “I also will ask you one thing, which if you might say to me, I also will say (to) you by what authority I do these things.”
“The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?” And they were debating (it) among themselves, saying, “If we might say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’”
“And if we might say, ‘From men,’ we are afraid of the crowd, for all have(=regard) [the] John as a prophet.”
And having answered, they said (to) Jesus, “We don’t know.” He also was saying to them, “Neither I say (to) you by what authority I do these things.”
“And what does it seem to you? A man was having two children. Having come to the first, he said, ‘Son, go today (and) work in the vineyard.’”
“And he, having answered, said, ‘I will not.’ And later having changed his mind, he went.”
“And having come to the other(=second), he said likewise. And he, having answered, said, I (go), lord,’ and he did not go.”
“Which of the two did the will of the father?” They say, “The first.” [The] Jesus says (to) them, “Truly I say (to) you, ‘[that] the tax collectors and the prostitutes are going before you into the kingdom of God.’”
“For John came (to) you in (the) way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him, but you, having seen, did not repent afterward so as to believe(=and believe) him.”
“Hear another parable, ‘There was a man, landowner, who planted a vineyard and put a hedge around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and rented it to farmers and departed(=went to another country).’”
“And when the time of the fruits drew near, he sent his slaves to the farmers to receive his fruits.”
“And having taken his slaves, the farmers beat one, killed another, and stoned another.”
“Again he sent other slaves, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.”
“And later(=finally)3 he sent to them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’”
“And the farmers, having seen the son, said in(=to) themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and let us take his inheritance.’”
“And having taken him, they threw (him) out of the vineyard and killed.”
“Therefore when the lord of the vineyard might come, what will he do to those farmers?”
They say to him, “He will destroy those wretches miserably, and he will give out the vineyard to other farmers who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”
[The] Jesus says (to) them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures? ‘The stone that the building ones(=builders) rejected, this (stone) became [into] (the) head of coner. From the Lord became this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.’”
Therefore I say (to) you, “[that] the kingdom of God will be taken from you and will be given to a people producing its fruits.”
“And the one having fallen on this stone will broken. And on whomever it might fall, it will crush him to powder.”
And having heard, the high priests and the Pharisees knew his parables that he says(=was saying) about them.
And seeking to arrest him, they feared the crowds, because they were having(=regarding) him for(=as) a prophet.
