1 And having called his twelve disciples, he gave them authority of(=over) unclean spirits, so as to cast them, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 And the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon being called Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James the (son) of Zebedee, and John his brother,
3 Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector, James the (son) of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus,
4 Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot having betrayed him.
5 [The] Jesus sent these twelve, having given charge to them, saying, “Do not go into (the) way of the Gentiles, and do not enter [into] a city of Samaritans.”
6 “But go rather to the lost sheep of (the) house of Israel.”
7 “And going, proclaim, saying, ‘[that] The kingdom of [the] heavens has come near.’”
8 “Heal the ailing ones, raise the dead ones, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
9 “Do not take gold nor silver nor copper in your belts.”
10 “(Take) no bag for (the) way nor two tunics nor sandals nor a staff, for the worker is worthy of his food.”
11 “Whatever city or town you might enter, inquire who in it is worthy? And stay there until you might leave.”
12 “And entering [into] the house, greet it.”
13 “And if the house [may] be worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it [may] be not worthy, let your peace return to you.”
14 “And whoever might not receive you nor hear your words, (when you) going out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”
15 “Truly I say (to) you, it will be more tolerable (for the) land of Sodom and Gomorrah in(=on) (the) day of judgment than (for) that city.”
16 “Behold, I send you as sheep in (the) midst of wolves, so be wise as [the] serpents and as innocent as [the] doves.”
17 “And beware of [the] men, for they will hand you over to councils, and in their synagogues they will flog you.”
18 “And you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.”
19 “And when they [might] hand you over, do not be anxious how or what you shall say, for what you shall say will be given (to) you in that hour.”
20 “For it is not you (who) speaking but the Spirit of your Father, (who) is the One speaking in you.”
21 “And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father (will deliver up his) child, and children will rise against parents and will have them put to death.”
22 “And you will be [being] hated by all because of my name. But the one [having] endured to (the) end, [this one] will be saved.”
23 “And when they [may] persecute you in this city, flee to [the] another, for truly I say (to) you, you will never finish the cities of Israel before the Son of Man [might] come.”
24 “A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a slave (is) above his lord.”
25 “(It is) enough for the disciple that he [might] be like his teacher, and the slave (be) like his lord. If they called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more (will they call) the members of his household!”
26 “Therefore, do not fear them, for (there) is nothing having been covered which will not be revealed, and (there is nothing) hidden which will not be made known.”
27 “What I say (to) you in the darkness, speak in the light. And what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the roofs.”
28 “And do not fear [from] the ones killing the body but not being able to kill the soul. But rather, fear the One being able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
29 “Are not two sparrows sold of(=for) a penny? And one of them will not fall on the ground without (the will) of your Father.”
30 “And the hairs of your head are all [having been] numbered.”
31 “Therefore do not fear. You surpass of(=are worth more than) many sparrows.”
32 “[Therefore] Whoever will acknowledge [in, Aramaic idiom, =declare for] me before(#with Genitive) men, I also will acknowledge [in] him before my Father in [the] heavens.”
33 “And whoever denies me before men, I also will deny him before my Father in [the] heavens.”
34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on the earth. I came not to bring peace, but a sword.”
35 “For I came to divide(=turn) a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
36 “And (the) enemies of a man (will be) the members of his own household.”
37 “The one loving father or mother more than me is not worthy of me. The one loving son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”
38 “And the one who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.”
39 “The one having found(=who finds) his life will lose it, and the one having lost(=who loses) his life for my sake will find it.”
40 “The one receiving you receives me, and the one receiving me receives the One having sent me.”
41 “The one receiving a prophet in (the) name of a prophet(=because he is a prophet) will receive a prophet’s reward. And the one receiving a righteous man in (the) name of a righteous man(=because he is a righteous man) will receive a righteous man’s reward.”
42 “And whoever might(=shall) give (to) one of these little ones even a cup of cold water in (the) name of a disciple(=because he is a disciple), truly I say (to) you, he might(=shall) not lose his reward.”
