And behold, they were bring to him a paralytic lying on a bed. And having seen their faith, [the] Jesus said (to) the paralytic. “Take heart, son, your sins are forgiven.”

And behold, some of the scribes said in themselves. “This (man) blasphemes.”

And having known their thoughts, [the] Jesus said, “Why do you think evil things in your hearts?”

“For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk,’?”

“And in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on [the] earth.” Then he says (to) the paralytic, “Rise, take your bed and go to your house.”

And having risen, he went away to his house.

But having seen, the crowds feared and glorified [the] God having given such authority to men.

And passing on there, [the] Jesus saw a man sitting at the tax office, called Matthew. And he says (to) him, “Follow me.” And having risen up, he followed him.

And it came to pass his reclining(=when he sat at table)1 in the house, and behold, many tax collectors and sinners, having come, reclined with(=sat at table with) Jesus and his disciples.

And having seen, the Pharisees said (to) his disciples. “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

And having heard, he said, “The ones being strong have not need of physician but the ones having ill.”

“And having gone, learn what it is, ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice. For I came to call not (the) righteous but sinners.’”

Then the disciples of John approach him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples not fast?”

And [the] Jesus said (to) them, [not, expecting the answer ‘No’] “Can the sons(=guests) of bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But (the) days will come, when the bridegroom might be taken away from them, and then they will fast.”

“And no one puts a patch of new cloth on an old garment, for its complement takes from the garment, and (the) rent becomes worse.”

“Neither do they put new wine into old wineskins, otherwise the wineskins are burst, and the wine is poured out and the wineskins are destroyed. But they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

His speaking(=When he spoke)2 these things to them, behold, a ruler, having approached, worshipped him, saying, “[that] My daughter now died. But having come, lay your hand on her, and she will live.”

And having risen, [the] Jesus followed him, and his disciples (did).

And behold, a woman suffering from haemorrhage twelve years, having approached from behind, touched the edge of his garment.

For she was saying in herself, “If I might touch his garment, I will be saved(=healed).”

And [the] Jesus, having turned and seen her, said, “Take heart, daughter, your faith has saved(=healed) you.” And the woman was saved(=healed) from that hour.

And [the] Jesus, having come into the house of the ruler and having seen flute players and the crowd making a noise,

He said, “Depart, for the girl did not died but is sleeping.” And they laughed at him.

But when the crowd put out, having entered, he hold her hand, and the girl was raised(=arose).

And this report went out into all that land.

And passing on(=when Jesus passed on) from there, two blind men followed Jesus, crying out and saying, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.”

And having come(=when he came) into the house, the blind men approached to him and [the] Jesus says (to) them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They say to him, “Yes, Lord.”

Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith, let it be done to you.”

And their eyes were opened. And [the] Jesus sternly spoke to them, saying, “See, let no one know.”

And they, having gone out, spread about him in all that land.

And their going out(=when they went out)3, behold, they brought to him a dumb man being demon-possessed.

And the demon being cast out(=when the demon was cast out), the dumb man spoke. And the crowds marvelled, saying, “It was never so seen in [the] Israel.”

And the Pharisees were saying, “By the ruler of demons, he cast out the demons.”

And [the] Jesus was going around all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every sickness.

And having seen the crowds, he had compassion about(=on) them, because they were harassed and helpless like sheep not having a shepherd.

Then he says (to) his disciples, “Indeed the harvest (is) plentiful, but the workers (are) few.”

“Therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest so that he might send out workers into his harvest.”
