1 And his having come down(=when he came down)1 from the mountain, great crowds followed him.

2 And behold, a leper, having come to (him), was worshipping him, saying, “Lord, if you [may] will, you are able to make me clean.”

3 And having stretched out the(=his) hand, he touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 And [the] Jesus says (to) him, “See (that) you [might] tell [to] no one, but go, and show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for(=as) a proof (to) them.”

5 And his having entered(=when he entered)2 [into] Capernaum, a centurion came to him, beseeching him,

6 and saying, “Lord, my boy(=servant) has been laid(=is lying)3 in the house(=at home), (and he is) a paralytic, being suffered terribly.”

7 He says (to) him, “Having gone, I will heal him.”

8 And having answered, the centurion said, “Lord, I am not worthy that you [might] come under my roof. But only say a word, and my boy(=servant) will be cured.”

9 “For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me, and I say (to) this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and (to) another, ‘Come,’ and he comes. And (to) my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does (it).”

10 And having heard, [the] Jesus marvelled, and said (to) the following ones, “Truly I say (to) you, from(=in) no one in [the] Israel have I found such faith.”

11 “And I say (to) you, that many will come from (the) east and (the) west, and will recline(=sit at table) with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of [the] heavens.”

12 “And sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, there will be the weeping and the gnashing of [the] teeth.”

13 And [the] Jesus said (to) the centurion, “Go; as you believed, (so) be it done (to) you.” And the boy(=servant) was cured in that hour.

14 And having come into Peter’s house, [the] Jesus saw his mother-in-law having been laid and having fever-stricken.

15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she rose and was ministering (to) him.

16 And evening’s having come(=when evening came)4, they brought to him many demon-possessed. And he cast out the spirits with a word, and he healed all having ill(=who were sick),

17 so that the thing spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, “He Himself took our infirmities and carried (our) diseases.”

18 And [the] Jesus, having seen a crowd around him, ordered to go over to the other side.

19 And one scribe, having approached, said (to) him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you [may] go.”

20 And [the] Jesus says (to) him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of [the] heaven (have) dwellings(=nests), but the Son of Man has no (place) where he may lay the(=his) head.”

21 And another of the disciples said (to) him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

22 And [the] Jesus says (to) him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

23 And him having embarked(=when he got) into the boat, his disciples followed him.

24 And behold, there was(=arose) a great storm in(=on) the sea, so as the ship to be covered(=so that the boat was covered) by the waves. But he was sleeping.

25 And having gone, they awoke him, saying, “Lord, save, we are perishing.”

26 And he says (to) them, “Why are you fearful, Oh you of little faith?” Then having risen, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

27 And the men marvelled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?”

28 And his having come(=when he came)5 to the other side into the region of the Gadarenes, two demon possessed ones met him, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so as anyone not to be able to pass(=so that no one could pass) through that way.

29 And behold, they cried out, saying, “What (association is there) (to) us and (to) you, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before (the) time?”

30 And some distance from them a herd of many pigs was being fed(=feeding).

31 And the demons were begging him, saying, “If you cast us out, send us into the herd of [the] pigs.”

32 And he said (to) them, “Go!” And they, having come out, went into the pigs. And behold, the whole heard rushed down the cliff into the sea, and they died in the waters.

33 And the feeding ones fled, [and] having gone away into the city, and reported all things and the things of the demon-possessed ones.

34 And behold, all the city came out for a meeting(# public welcome meeting) (with) [the] Jesus. And they, having seen, begged him that he might depart from their territories.
