1 And one from(=of) the seven angels having the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying, “(Come) here, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute sitting on many waters,”
2 “with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the ones dwelling (on) the earth were intoxicated from(=with) the wine of her fornication.”
3 And he carried me away in (the) Spirit into a wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, being full (of) names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was having been clothed(=was clothed)1 (in) purple and scarlet, and [having been] adorned (with) gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup being full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication,
5 and (the) name having been written on her forehead (was) a mystery: BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman being drunk from(=with) the blood of the saints and from(=with) the blood of the martyrs(=witnesses) of Jesus. And I, having seen her, marveled (with) great astonishment.
7 And the angel said (to) me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast carrying her, (which) having the seven heads and the ten horns.”
8 “The beast which you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up from the Abyss(=bottomless pit) and goes(=go) into destruction. And the ones dwelling on the earth will marvel, whose names have not been written on the book of life from (the) foundation of (the) world, (who) seeing the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.”
9 “Here (is) the mind having wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman sits on them, and they are seven kings.
10 “The five have fallen, the one is, (and) the other has not come yet, and when he might come(=comes), it is necessary for him to remain(=he must remain) a little (while).”
11 “And the beast, which was and is not, himself also is an eighth, and is from(=of) the seven, and goes(=is going) into destruction.”
12 “And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority (for) one hour as kings with the beast.”
13 “These have one intention, and they (will) give their power and authority to the beast.”
14 “These will make war with the Lamb. And the Lamb will overcome them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and the ones with him (are) called and chosen and faithful.”
15 And he says(=said) to me, “The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.”
16 “And the ten horns which you saw and2 the beast, these will hate the prostitute, and will make her having been desolated(=desolate) and naked; and they will eat her flesh[es] and burn her in(=with) fire.”
17 “For [the] God gave(=has put) into their hearts to do(=fulfill) His intention, [and] to make one intention and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled.”
18 “And the woman whom you saw is the great city having kingdom(=domain) over the kings of the earth.”
