And I saw a beast coming up from the sea (who) having ten horns and seven heads and on his horns ten diadems and on his heads a name of blasphemies(=blasphemy).

And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, and his feet (were) as(=like) (the feet) of a bear, and his mouth as(=like) (the) mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.

And one of his heads as having been wounded to death(=seemed to have had a deadly wound), and his wound of the death(=deadly wound) was healed. And the whole earth marveled after the beast(=and followed the beast).

And they worshipped the dragon because he gave the authority to the beast, and they worshipped the beast, saying, “Who (is) like the beast, and who is able to make war with him?”

And to him was given a mouth speaking great things(=proud words) and blasphemies. And to him was given authority to do (for) forty-two months.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemies to(=against) [the] God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle (and) the ones tabernacling(=dwelling) in [the] heaven.

And to him was given(=allowed) to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And to him was given authority over every tribe and people and language and nation.

And they all dwelling on the earth will worship him, (every one) whose name has not been written from (the) foundation of (the) world in the book of life of the Lamb having been slain.

If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

If anyone (is to go) into captivity, he goes(=will go) into captivity. If anyone is to be killed in(=with)1 (the) sword, (it is necessary for) him to be killed in(=with)2 (the) sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

And I saw another beast coming up from the earth. And he was having two horns like a lamb. And he was speaking as a dragon.

And he does(=exercises) all the authority of the first beast before him. And he does(=makes) the earth and the ones dwelling in it [that they will] worship the first beast, whose wound of death(=deadly wound) was healed.

And he does(=performs) great signs, so that he may do(=makes) fire [to] come down from [the] heaven to the earth before men,

and he deceives the ones dwelling on the earth because of(=by) the signs which was given him to do before the beast, saying to the ones dwelling on the earth to make an image (to) the beast who has(=had) the wound of the sword and (yet) lived.

And to him was given(=allowed) to give a spirit(=breath) (to) the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast could speak and [could] cause [that] those who would not worship the image of the beast should be killed(to be killed).

And he does all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they(# impersonal) might give them(=to receive) a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,

and that no one may be able to buy or to sell(=can buy or sell) except the one having the mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Here is the wisdom: let the one having understanding count the number of the beast, for it is (the) number of a man, and his number (is) six hundred (and) sixty-six.
