(=alt.word)  ·  (added word)  ·  [omit]

I wish(# unrealized wish) you were bearing with(=would bear with) me (in) a little foolishness. [But] Do bear with me.

For I am jealous (for) you (with) godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, to present (you as) a pure virgin to Christ.

And I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts might(=may) be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity1 in Christ.

For if the one coming(=who comes) preaches another Jesus whom we did not preach, or (if) you receive a different spirit which you did not receive, or a different gospel which you did not accept, you bear (it) well.

For I think nothing to fall short than(=that I am not in the least inferior to) the super-apostles.

And even though (I am) untrained (in) [the] speech, but (I am) not (in) [the] knowledge. But in every (way) having been manifested(=we have made this clear) to you in all things.

Did I commit a sin (by) humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God (to) you free of charge?

I robbed other churches, taking wage (from them) for your ministry(=in order to serve you).

And being present for(=with) you and having been in need, I was [not] a burden to no one, for the brothers having come from Macedonia supplied my need. And in everything, from burdening you, I have kept and will keep myself.

(The) truth of Christ is in me, that this boasting in me(=of mine) will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia.

Why? Because I do not love you? [The] God knows.

But what I do, I will also do, in order that I might(=may) cut off the opportunity of the ones desiring an opportunity in order that they might be found(=to be regarded) just as we are in the things which they boast.

For such (are) false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves into(=as) apostles of Christ.

And no wonder, for [the] Satan disguises himself into(=as) an angel of light.

Therefore (it is) no great thing if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

Again I say, let no one think (for) me to be foolish. If otherwise, receive me as a foolish (man), so that I also might(=may) boast a little.

What I speak, I speak not according (the) Lord, but as in foolishness, in this confidence of boasting.

Since many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast.

For gladly you bear with the foolish, being wise!

For you bear (it) if anyone enslaves you, if anyone devours (you), if anyone takes (advantage of you), if anyone is lifted (himself) up, if anyone slaps you in (the) face.

To (our) shame, I say that we were (too) weak (for that)! But in whatever anyone dares (to boast about) - I say in foolishness – I also dare (to boast about).

Are they Hebrews? I also. Are they Israelites? I also. Are they (the) seed of Abraham? I also.

Are they servants of Christ? Being out of my mind, I speak. I beyond(=am more); in labor more abundantly(=much harder), in prison more abundantly(=more frequently), in stripes more exceedingly(=more severely), in deaths often(=many times).

By(=From) Jews five times I received forty (stipes) minus one.

Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have done(=spent) in the deep;

(in) journeys many times, (in) dangers of rivers, (in) dangers of robbers, (in) dangers from (my own) people, (in) dangers from the Gentiles, (in) dangers in (the) city, (in) dangers in (the) wilderness, (in) dangers in(=at) sea, (in) dangers among false brothers,
(in) labor and toil, in watchings(=sleeplessness) many times, in hunger and thirst, in fastings many times, in cold and nakedness -

beside everything else, (there is) the pressure upon me daily. (It is my) concern (for) all the churches.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn (with indignation)?

If it is necessary (for me) to boast, I will boast of the things of my weakness.

[The] God and Father of the Lord Jesus, the One being blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.

In Damascus, the governor of(=under) King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus in order to arrest me,

and through a window I was lowered in basket through the wall and escaped his hands.
