[For indeed] Concerning the ministry(=service) to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you,

for I know your eagerness, of which I boast about you to Macedonians, (saying) that Achaia has been ready since last year; and your zeal has stirred up the majority.

And I sent the brothers, lest our boasting about you should be in vain in this respect, so that, as I was saying(=said), you may be having been prepared(=ready),

lest if Macedonians [might] come with me and find you unprepared, we would be ashamed – lest we may not say you(=not to say “you”) - in this confidence.

Therefore I thought it necessary to urge the brothers that they might(=would) go ahead to you, and arrange in advance your generous gift having been previously promised, this ready to be thus(=so that it may be ready) as a generous gift, not as an extortion

And (I say) this, “The one sowing sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one sowing bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

Each one (should do) as he has decided (in) the(=his) heart, not of grief(=reluctantly) or of necessity(=under compulsion), for [the] God loves a cheerful giver.

And [the] God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in everything always, having all sufficiency, you may abound to(=in) every good work.

As it have been written, “He scattered, He gave to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”

And the One supplying seed to the sowing one and bread for food will also supply and [will] multiply your seed and [will] increase the fruits of your righteousness.

Being enriched(=You are enriched) in everything for all(=great) generosity, which produces through us thanksgiving to God,

for the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but (is) also abounding through many thanksgivings to God.

Through the proof of this ministry, glorifying(=they praise) [the] God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for the generosity of the sharing for(=with) them and for(=with) all (others),

and by their supplication for you, (who) longing for you because of the surpassing grace of God upon(=in) you.

Thanks (be) to [the] God for his indescribable gift!
