Therefore, having this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.
But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor falsifying the word of God, but (by) the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.
And even if our gospel is having been veiled(=has been veiled)1, it is having been veiled(=has been veiled)2 in(=to) the perishing ones,
in(=to) whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, to the not to see(=so that they cannot see) the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is (the) image of God.
For we proclaim not ourselves but Christ Jesus (as) the Lord, and ourselves (as) your slaves for Jesus’ sake.
For (it is) the God saying(=who said), “Light shall shine out of the darkness,” who has shone in our hearts for(=to give) (the) light of the knowledge of the glory of God in (the) face of Christ.
And we have this treasure in earthen jars, so that the excellence of the power may be of God not from us.
Being pressed(=We are pressed) in every (way), but not being crushed; being perplexed(=we are perplexed), but not despairing;
being persecuted(=we are persecuted), but not being abandoned; being struck down(=we are struck down), but not being destroyed;
always carrying around in the(=our) body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also might(=may) be manifested in our body.
For we (who are) living are always being delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also might(=may) be manifested in our mortal flesh.
So [the] death is at work in us, but [the] life in you.
And having the same spirit of faith, according to the thing having been written, “I believed; therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore we speak,
knowing(#perfect as present) that the One having raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus, and will present (us) with you.
For all things (are) for your sake, so that the grace, having increased through the greater (number)(=the many), might(=may) cause [the] thanksgiving (to) overflow, to the glory of God.
Therefore we do not lose heart. But if(=Even though) our outward man is wasting away, yet our inward (man) is being renewed day and(=by) day.
For the momentary lightness of our affliction is working(=achieving) for us an eternal weight of glory throughout excess to excess(=beyond all measure),
Our looking(=because we look)3 not the things being seen(=which are seen), but the things not being seen(=which are not seen); for the things being seen(=which are seen) (are) temporary, but the things not being seen(=which are not seen) (are) eternal.
