(=alt.word)  ·  (added word)  ·  [omit]

After these things, Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. And he showed (himself) in this way.

Simon Peter, and Thomas being called the Twin, and Nathanael from Cana of(=in) Galilee, and the (sons) of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.

Simon Peter says (to) them, “I am going to fish(=fishing).” They say to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and got into the boat. And in that night they caught nothing.

And morning’s becoming(=when it became morning)1, Jesus stood into(=on) the shore, but the disciples did not know that it is Jesus.

So Jesus says (to) them, “Children, do haven’t you any fish?” They answered him, “No.”

And he said (to) them, “Cast the net into right parts(=side) of the boat, and you will find.” So they cast, and they were not able to drag it, from(=for) the multitude of the fish.

So that disciple whom [the] Jesus was loving says (to) Peter, “It is the Lord.” So Simon Peter, having heard that it is(=was) the Lord, wrapped the coat, for he was naked. And he jumped [himself] into the sea.

And the other disciples came (in) the boat(# instrumental dative), dragging the net of the fish, for they were not far from the land, but [from] about two hundred cubits (off).

So when they got out to the land, they see a fire lying (there), and a fish lying on (it), and bread.

[The] Jesus says (to) them, “Bring (some) of the fish which you caught now.”

So Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to the land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty three. And so many’s being(=although there were so many)2, the net was not torn.

[The] Jesus says (to) them, “Come, have breakfast.” No one from the disciples were daring to ask him, “Who are you?” knowing(# perfect as present) that it is(=was) the Lord.

Jesus comes and takes the bread and gives (it) to them, and the fish likewise.

This (was) now (the) third (time) Jesus was revealed to the disciples, having been raised from (the) dead.

So when they had breakfast, [the] Jesus says (to) Simon Peter, “Simon, (son) of John, do you love me more (than) these?” He says (to) him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He says (to) him, “Feed my lambs.”

He says (to) him again a second time, “Simon, (son) of John, do you love me?” He says (to) him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He says (to) him, “Tend my sheep.”

He says (to) him the third (time), “Simon, (son) of John, do you love me?” [The] Peter was grieved that he said (to) him the third (time), “do you love me?” And he said (to) him, “Lord, you know all things. You know that I love you.” Jesus says (to) him, “Feed my sheep.”

“Truly, truly, I say (to) you, when you were younger, you were girding yourself and were walking where you were wishing; but when you [might] grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and will carry where you do not wish (to go).”

And he said this indicating by what death he will glorify [the] God. And having said this, he says (to) him, “Follow me.”

Having turned, [the] Peter sees the disciple whom [the] Jesus was loving following, who also had reclined on his breast at the supper, and said, “Lord, who is the one betraying you?”

So having seen this (disciple), [the] Peter says (to) Jesus, “Lord, and what about this (man)?”

[The] Jesus says (to) him, “If I will him to remain(=that he remain) until I come, what (is that) to you? Follow me!”

So this word went to the brothers that this disciple may(=would) not die, but [the] Jesus did not say to him that he may(=would) not die, but “If I will him to remain(that he remain) until I come, what (is that) to you?”

This is the disciple testifying about(=to) these things and having written these things. And we know that his testimony is true.

And there is(=are) also many other things which [the] Jesus did, which if they [may] are written one by one, I suppose the world itself not to contain(=that the world itself could not contain) the books being written.
