(=alt.word)  ·  (added word)  ·  [omit]

In those days, again a great crowd’s being and having(=when again a large crowd gathered and had)1 not what they might eat(=nothing to eat), having called the disciples, he says (to) them,

“I have compassion on the crowd, because they stay(=have stayed) with me now three days and have not what they might eat(=nothing to eat).”

“And if I [might] send them away hungry to their home, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come from far.”

And his disciples answered him, “[that] From where is anyone able to satisfy these (people) (with) loaves in a desert.”

And he was asking them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven.”

And he commands the crowd to recline(=sit down) on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, having given thanks, he broke (them) and gave (them to) his disciples that they may serve(=distribute). And they served(=distributed) the crowd.

And they were having a few small fish. And having blessed them, he told (his disciples) to serve(=distribute) these too.

And they ate and were satisfied. And they took remains of fragments, seven baskets (full).

And they were about four thousand. And he sent them away.

And immediately having gotten into the boat with his disciples, he went into the parts of Dalmanutha.

And Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from [the] heaven, testing him.

And having sighed deeply in his spirit, he says, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I say (to) you, if a sign will be given (to) this generation, (may God bring all manner of evil upon me.)

And having left them, having embarked again, he departed to the other side.

And they forgot to take loaves. And except one loaf they were not having with themselves in the ship.

And he was ordering them, saying, “Watch out, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

And they were discussing with one another because they have not loaves.

And having known, he says (to) them, “Why do you discuss that you have no loaves? Do you still not perceive or understand? Do you have(=Are) your heart hardened?”

“Having eyes, don’t you see? And having ears, don’t you hear? And don’t you remember?”

“When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take?” They say (to) him, “Twelve.”

“When (I broke) the seven (loaves) for the four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take?” And they say, “Seven.”

And he was saying (to) them, “Do you still not understand?”

And they come to Bethsaida. And they bring (to) him a blind man, and beg him that he would touch him(=to touch him).

And having taken the blind man (by) the hand, he led him out of the village. And having spat on his eyes, having laid the(=his) hands (upon) him, he was asking him, “[if] Do you see anything.”

And having looked up, he was saying, “I see [the] men; for(=but) I see (them) like trees, walking.”

Then again he laid the(=his) hands upon his eyes. And he came to see, and was restored, and was looking distinctly at all things.

And he sent him to his house, saying, “Do not go into the village.”

And Jesus and his disciples went out into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way, he was asking his disciples, saying (to) them, “Who do men say me to be(=that I am)?”

And they told him, saying, “[that] (some say) John the Baptist, and others (say) Elias, but others (say) that (you are) one of the prophets.”

And he was asking them, “And who do you say me to be(=that I am)?” Having answered, [the] Peter says (to) him, “You are the Christ.”

And he warned them that they may(=should) tell no one about him.

And he began to teach them that it is necessary for the Son of Man to suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and high priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

And he was openly saying the word. And having taken him aside, [the] Peter began to rebuke him.

But having turned back, and having seen his disciples, he rebuked Peter. And he says, “Get behind me, Satan! For you do not think(=have in mind) the things of God, but the things of men.”

And having called the crowd with his disciples, he said (to) them, “If anyone wants to follow [after] me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

“For whoever [may] wants to save his life will lose it. But whoever will lose his life for me and the gospel will save it.”

“For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world and to forfeit his life?”

“For what might(=can) a man give (in) exchange (for) his life?”

“For whoever [might] is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he [might] comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
