1 And he entered again into the synagogue. And there was a man having(=who had) the(=a) hand having been withered.

2 And they were watching him closely, whether (on) the Sabbaths he will(=would) heal him, so that they might accuse him.

3 And he says(# historical present tense) (to) the man having the withered hand, “Rise in the middle.”

4 And he says(# historical present tense) (to) them, “Is it lawful (on) the Sabbaths to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill.” But they were [being] silent.

6 And having gone out, the Pharisees immediately were giving counsel(=were plotting)1 with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

7 And [the] Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea. And a great multitude from Galilee followed, and from Judaea.

8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and (the region) around Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what he was doing, came to him.

9 And he told his disciples that a small boat may(=should) be ready (for) him because of the crowd, lest they may(=should) crush him,

10 for he healed(=had healed)2 many, so to fall upon(# infinitive as result) him that as many as were having diseases might touch him(=so that as many as had diseases pressed upon him to touch him).

11 And the unclean spirits, whenever they were seeing him, were falling down before him and were crying out, saying, “[that] You are the Son of God.”

12 And he was rebuking them much that they should not make him known.

13 And he goes up(# historical present tense) into the mountain. And he calls(# historical present tense) (to him) those whom he were willing(=wanted). And they came to him.

14 And he made(=appointed) twelve, whom also he named apostles, that they may be with him and that he may send them to proclaim,

15 and to have authority to cast out the demons.

16 And he made(=appointed) the twelve, and Simon, (to whom) he gave (the) name Peter;

17 [and] James the (son) of Zebedee and John the brother of James, [and] (to whom) he gave (the) names Boanerges, that is, “Sons of Thunder”;

18 [and] Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the (son) of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean;

19 and Judas Iscariot who also betrayed him.

20 And he comes(# historical present tense) into a house. And the crowd comes together(# historical present tense) again, so as them not even to be able to(=so that they cannot even) eat bread.

21 And having heard, the ones with him went out to seize him, for they were saying, [that] “He is out of his mind.”

22 And the scribes having come down from Jerusalem were saying, “[that] He has Beelzebub, and by the ruler of the demons he casts out the demons.”

23 And having called them, he was saying (to) them in parables, “How is Satan able to cast out Satan?”

24 “And if a kingdom might be(=is) divided against itself, that kingdom is not able to stand.”

25 “And if a house might be(=is) divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.”

26 “And if Satan stood up against himself and was divided, he is not able to stand, but has an end(=his end has come).”

27 “But no one is able, having entered into the house of the strong (man), to plunder his goods, unless he first might bind(=binds) the strong (man). And then he will plunder his house.”

28 “Truly, I tell(# historical present tense) you, ‘[that] All sins will be forgiven to the sons of men, and the blasphemies whatever they might blaspheme.’”

29 “But whoever might blaspheme(=blasphemes) against the Holy Spirit has never forgiveness unto the age(=for ever), but is liable to(=guilty of) eternal sin,”

30 because they were saying, “[that] He has unclean spirit.”

31 And his mother and his brothers come(# historical present tense). And standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.

32 And a crowd was sitting around him; and they say(# historical present tense) (to) him, “Look, your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside seeking you.”

33 And having answered them, he says, “Who is my mother and brothers?”

34 And having looked at the ones sitting in a circle around him, he says, “Look, my mother and my brothers!”

35 “Whoever might do(=does) the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, mother.”
