1 “Then the kingdom of the heavens will be like ten virgins who, having taken their lamps, went out for a meeting of the bridegroom(=to meet the bridegroom).”

2 “And five of them were foolish and five (were) wise.”

3 “For the foolish ones, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them.”

4 “But the wise ones took oil in the jars with their lamps.”

5 “But the bridegroom’s delaying(=when the bridegroom was delayed)1, they all slumbered and were sleeping.”

6 “And at midnight there has been(=was) a cry, ‘Behold, the bridegroom. Go out for a meeting(=to meet).’”

7 “Then all those virgins were woke up and trimmed their lamps.”

8 “And the foolish ones said to the wise ones, ‘Give us (some) from your oil, because our lamps are going out.’”

9 “And the wise ones, saying, answered, ‘Lest there [might] be not enough to us and to you, rather go to the selling ones and buy for yourselves.’”

10 “And their going(=while they went)2 to buy, the bridegroom came, and the prepared ones went in with him to the wedding feasts, and the door was shut.”

11 “And later the other virgins also come, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’”

12 “But he, having answered, said, ‘Truly, I say (to) you, I do not know(# perfect as present) you.’”

13 “Therefore watch, for you do not know(# perfect as present) the day or the hour.”

14 “For (it is) like a man going away [from home], (who) called the(=his) own slaves and delivered his property to them.”

15 “And to one he gave five talents, to another two (talents), to another one (talent), to each according the(=his) own ability. And he went away at once.”

16 “The (one) having(=who had) received the five talents, having gone, worked

17 “Likewise the one (who had received) the two (talents) gained other two (talents).”

18 “But the (one) having received the one (talent), having gone away, dug (in the) ground and hid the silver(=money) of his lord.”

19 “And after a long time, the lord of those slaves comes and settles an account with them.”

20 “And the (one) having received the five talents, having come, brought other five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered five talents to me, behold, I have gained other five talents.”

21 “His lord was saying to him, ‘Well, good and faithful slave, you were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”

22 “Having come, the (one) also (having received) the two talents said, ‘Lord, you delivered two talents to me, behold I have gained other two talents.’”

23 “His lord was saying to him, ‘Well, good and faithful slave, you were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

24 “And having come, the (one) also had received the one talent said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering when(=where) you did not scatter (seed).”

25 “And having feared, having gone away, I hid your talent in the earth, behold, you have (what is) yours.”

26 “And having answered, his lord said (to) him, ‘Evil and lazy slave, you were knowing(# pluperfect as imperfect) that I reap where I did not sow, and I gather where I did not scatter?”

27 “Therefore, it should have been for you to place my silvers(=money) to(=with) bankers, and having come I would have received mine with interest.”

28 “Therefore, take the talent from him and give (it) to the (one) having the ten talents.”

29 “For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance. But from him not having(=who has not), even what he has will be taken away.”

30 “And throw the useless slave into the outer darkness. there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

31 “And when the Son of Man [might] comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on (the) throne of his glory.”

32 “And all the nations will be gathered together before him, and he will separate them (one) from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.”

33 “And the sheep will stand at his right, but the goats at (his) left.”

34 “Then the King will say to the (ones) at his right, ‘Come, the(=you who) blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom having been prepared for you from (the) foundation of (the) world.”

35 “For I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in.”

36(I was) naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”

37 “Then the righteous (ones) will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you [being] hungry and feed (you), or [being] thirsty and give (you) drink?”

38 “And when did we see you a stranger and take (you) in, or naked and clothe (you).”

39 “And when did we see you [being] sick or in prison and go to you?”

40 “And having answered, the King will say to them, ‘Truly I say (to) you, whatever you did to one of the least of these my brothers, you did to me.”

41 “Then he will say also to the ones at (the) left, ‘Go away from me, you (who are) cursed, into the eternal fire having been prepared for the devil and his angels.’”

42 “For I was hungry and you did not give me to eat, I was thirsty and you did not give me drink.”

43 “I was stranger and you did not take me in, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.”

44 “Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you [being] hungry or [being] thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister you?”

45 “Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly I say (to) you, whatever you did not to one of the least of these, you did not do to me.’”

46 “And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
